Today, the focus was on hand grip and various kamae

Tonight’s 2 hour session was interesting, as we focused on proper tenouchi during the different kamae transitions. Each of us paid special attention to tai sabaki in the sense of body movement rather than evasion, making sure the spine is straight during shomenuchi as well as keeping proper ashi sabaki. The last few minutes, we tried Negishi Rryu shuriken as well as Katori Shinto Ryu shuriken to feel the difference in the throwing flow. Darren Thomas had a nice grouping from a further distance throw.
